I just found out that I HATE camping. HATE HATE HATE!!! It just so happened that my parent's Godparents invited us to a camp and picnic sort-of thing at east coast park on National day(yeah, like such a nice thing to notify someone 2 days earlier and 'suggest' that he make a TON of food). How many working mothers can make Vermicelli, club sandwiches and dessert in 2 hours?(Tag if your mom can, just curious :D) Anyways, we got to the campsite at around 6.30pm(ooh, let's have supper! Oh wait, Where's dinner? *sarcasm). After dinner-supper(:S), My siblings, with some other strangers we have never met(means brothers and sisters we have never met in Catholicism, *shrug), began playing with sand(zzz...), while I rented a bicycle(perhaps too late :P) at 7.30, and informed my mom I would be back by 8.15pm. Well, there was this douche who kept trying to ride ahead of me(showoff... -_-). Having yet another seizure of spam, I(f***ed up) and tore ahead of him like a mad cow......

My camera phone came in handy(or not?), when I recorded one-third of the journey back(featuring this somewhat retarded girl who kept hogging the lane), which lasted for TWO WHOLE MINUTES! OMG!!!!(uh.....*silence*)

When I arrived at the site, it was 8:22:46pm, just AFTER the pledge moment >.<

Oh.My.God. 1:31am

Just some physics questions for you smarty pants:

1. Yan Tong falls toward the ground with an acceleration of 20m/s2. She deploys her parachute with an area of 3km2 5 seconds afterwards. However, it fails to open.
Question: Will she die?(Bonus question: what is her mass?)

2. Matthew is tied to a conveyor belt moving at 10 terametres/millisecond, towards a shredder, operated by Chelsea, rotating at 300 rps(rotations per second).
Question: How long does it take for the shredder to kill Matthew?

3. Mukesh has an attraction force of 5,000,000,000g towards Yaazhini, while Benedix has an attraction force towards of 0.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000g towards Yaazhini.
Question: Will Benedix get jealous?

Yay! Not Gay!

Probably not the best way to start an entry but...

Sigh, haven't done literally TONS of homework! Wish I could quit Fine arts now!!!!

As usual, the choir had to perform some sort of 'marathon' of 7 songs. Kenneth was like not-so-enthu about this(???). We had to humiliate ourselves by standing in front of the school, with the spastic Mrs Lim going crazy overdoing the singing(go join s'pore idol lah! o.o) No choice, had to stay from 4pm to 7.15pm(what?!?!) for the rehearsal the previous day. Mr Clifton Soh, who was supposed to be the lead singer in the national day celebration, was definitely NOT prepared. Seriously. Who sings a song on stage while reading lyrics?

Just like in primary school, we had to stand like penguins cuddled together in front of a crowd of students with boring gazes. Like, hell no, I wouldn't like wearing a house T-shirt upstage(who was the douchbag who made it mandatory to wear red tops and jeans!?). The first song was 'What do your see', where Mr Clifton Soh easily managed to demonstrate his mediocre vocal skills(again, who's the idiot who got him to sing?) The 'Munneraeu Valibaa' was the killer. We actually had to run around the hall like gays(sry girls...), and give the people downstage the shock of their life(they just found out their classmate was a homo). I don't care to elaborate though, the rest is sooo boring...

When we had potluck in class, I realised the stress we put on the farmers. For a start, ALL the food(well, almost)was erm... potatoes?(Bad planning, guys). Then I felt lonely. Extremely lonely. Somehow, I became invisible. As we were clearing up, mischief got the better of me. I poured the coke and water into a container of chips, and passed it to Matthew(What?). Matthew walked about the classes, and somehow, miraculously, managed to prank a girl into putting her hand into the container(pwned!). Yan Tong got the container from Matthew, subsequently attempting to dump its contents into a plastic bag. Feeling annoying and spammy, my hand got the container. Weirdly enough, YT smacked my hand(ouch to the heart :'(). Sigh

My group for the physics project, randomly chosen by Ms Li, decided to meet up at Jurong regional library. Somehow, either a blessing or a curse(most probably the former), another group was going to the same location.

My initial plans for the rig was repulsion force between the surface and the bottle by placing magnetic tape on both to reduce friction . Unfortunately, my plans came to nought when I found out(much too late) that we would strictly need to use the ramp provided. No magnets. Argh!!!!!!!!!!!!

Failed planning. We actually left our stuff in the library while the other group helped use take care of our belongings. After a fruitless effort in search of a hardware store to buy magnet tape, saws and superglue, we dashed across the whole circle to IMM shopping centre at the opposite end in 5 minutes!!(OMG). Pity Jia Ying, she couldn't quite keep up(are we rly that fast?).

Yay, Diaso.

We started to look for random items, which we obvious didn't need(except for a tennis ball, which we apparently couldn't find). In the end, we settled on a wood saw, but... doesn't the sight of four people purchasing a saw a little...you know, suspicious?(epic fail!)

As we failed to look for magnet tape, we went in search of 'Home-fix' or similar hardware stores. After running and doing a wild goose chase on the first floor, we sprinted towards what I thought was a service counter. Turns out it was a money changer(wow, I sure as hell have good eyesight!). It went to such an extent that we just HAD to resort to the directory. Heck, I knew the location all along.

$3.90 for a magnetic tape. We need 8. Where in the world are we going to use so much money for an A+? Sigh, we retreated back to the library, regretting our fruitless search for nonexistent materials(how I wish I could get epoxy for the wood)

We could have chopped our heads off looking for an optimum shape of the fins of our rocket. I actually tried out this idea of having 10-degree interval, with a reduction of the line length, for the contour of the front of the fin(I don't know how to phrase that O.O. Call me for more info. Btw, it costs $10 for the tip). Starved myself for the whole afternoon, yet I didn't feel hungry at all(you can post to judge whether I suffer from anorexia, *shrug)

After much pulling out of hairs(I'm bald now) and racking of brains, we decided to try with the bottle alone. With the help of the other group(thks :D), we managed to borrow the pump and pierce a hole through the bottle cap. However, our efforts came

Yawn...

Finally, another week of school. The piano lesson seemed like yesterday...
(Mixed up chronology :P)

Some rather surprising events

During humanities class on Wednesday, Benedix had a slip of tongue(I hope!). While Ms Chua was still debriefing us on the notes we were supposed to read, he decided to ask a question(fail). He sorta said "When is it, idiot?" out of the blue. Ms Chua glared at him, while we all erupted in laughter.

Gee, I feel like I'm turning into Samuel...(crap)

Don't really know what I should get: Art Enrichment, Robotics or Microbiology in action? arghh!!!!! I wish I had all three!

I've gotta do well for the prototype of the Da Vinci project to gain entry into the Tan Kah Kee competition and to select the module 'design and engineering' next year(yay)

Mr Ng, our mentor currently, was discussing with us on the biography of Mr S.Rajaratnam and his creation of the national pledge. When discussig on the equality of races in S'pore, Jaewoong piped up and mentioned that although he was rightfully able to get into HCI through DSA, the school denied his entry there as he was not chinese. How racist!!(or is it?).
Without much thinking(I hope so), Mr Ng shouted out:'Hwa Chong sucks!' and soon ate back his words(Mr.Low is from HCI)
